All orders include tracking. You'll receive a tracking number by email the moment your parcel is on its way.

Under Australian Consumer Law, if your book arrives damaged or faulty, you're entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.

Shipping & delivery

Where do you ship?

We ship Australia-wide via tracked courier. At this stage we do not offer international shipping — if you're outside Australia and would love a copy, please contact us and we'll do our best to help.

How long will delivery take?

Print orders: Orders are packed within 1–2 business days. Delivery within Australia typically takes 3–10 business days depending on your location. Rural and remote areas may take a little longer.

Digital & bundle orders: Your download link is sent immediately by email after checkout.

Pre-orders — when will my book arrive?

Pre-order print books are expected to ship at the end of June. This date is subject to change depending on production and printing schedules. Any changes to the shipping timeframe will be communicated with customers via email as soon as they are known.

The pre-order sale period may be extended at our discretion. If you place a pre-order, you are reserving a copy from the first print run. Pre-orders are charged at checkout and fulfilled as soon as stock arrives.

Please note: Asking for a refund after a pre-order purchase is still considered a change of mind. Our change-of-mind policy applies to pre-orders in the same way as regular orders — see below for details.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your location and the weight of your order. We use flat-rate, fair pricing — no hidden surprises at the final step.

Can I track my order?

Yes — every physical order includes a tracking number. You'll receive it by email as soon as your parcel is dispatched. If you don't see it within 3 business days of ordering, check your spam folder or reach out.

Returns, refunds & your rights

What if my book arrives damaged or faulty?

Under the Australian Consumer Law, products you buy come with automatic guarantees. If your book arrives damaged, defective, or not as described, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund — your choice.

Please contact us within 14 days of delivery with a photo of the damage and your order number. We'll sort it out quickly and kindly.

Can I return the book if I change my mind?

Print books (including pre-orders): We do not accept change-of-mind returns on print books, including pre-orders. Once a pre-order is placed, it is treated as a final sale. Please choose carefully before purchasing. This is consistent with the nature of printed publications and helps us keep costs fair for all buyers.

Digital & bundle products: Because digital files are delivered instantly and cannot be returned, change-of-mind refunds are not available on digital or bundle purchases. This is standard for all downloadable content.

What are my statutory rights?

Australian Consumer Law guarantees that products must be of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and match their description. These rights exist regardless of anything else on this page and cannot be excluded.

If a major problem occurs (for example, a printing error that makes the book unreadable, or a digital file that is corrupted and cannot be opened), you can choose whether you receive a refund, replacement, or repair. If the problem is not major, we will fix it within a reasonable time.

About the book

What formats are available?

The Illusion Edit is available in three ways:

  • Print edition — a physical book, printed and bound, shipped to your door.
  • Digital edition — a watermarked PDF delivered by email, readable on any device.
  • Bundle — both print and digital together at a discounted price.

What does the digital PDF include?

The digital edition is the complete book as a high-resolution PDF. It includes buyer-specific watermarking (your name, email and order number embedded on each page) to protect the work and discourage redistribution. The file is yours to keep on your personal devices.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay — all processed securely through Shopify's encrypted checkout. We do not store your payment details.

Is this a pre-order?

If a product is listed as a pre-order, the title will show a "Pre-order" badge and the checkout will confirm the expected shipping date. Pre-orders are charged at checkout and fulfilled as soon as stock arrives. If you order a mix of in-stock and pre-order items, we typically hold the full order until everything is ready to ship together — contact us if you'd prefer partial shipping.

Who is this book for?

First and foremost, it's for the everyday woman — the person sitting in the salon chair who has ever felt like something just isn't right with her hair, but could never quite figure out why. It's for anyone who wants to understand what they're asking for, what they're actually getting, and how to bridge the gap between the two.
